Saturday Screenings is a free program of film screenings on the first weekend of each month, presented in partnership between the NFSA and the National Gallery of Australia. Sessions from June to September will take place in Arc Cinema, screening from 35mm film prints from the NFSA Collection. 
 
AN ANGEL AT MY TABLE – 35MM

Jane Campion’s An Angel at My Table, based on the autobiographical work of New Zealand writer Janet Frame, follows the author through various stages of her life, facing many challenges on her way to success.

The screening will be preceded by Campion’s Palme d’Or-winning short film An Exercise in Discipline: Peel (1983, PG, 9 mins). 

Both films will be presented from 35mm film prints in the NFSA collection.

The screening complements Botticelli to Van Gogh: Masterpieces from the National Gallery, London at the National Gallery of Australia.
