In this award-winning Australian documentary film, director Johan Gabrielsson explores ‘the most pressing question in a changing global climate: do we have the leadership to take us to a greener future?’

Scientist and author Professor Tim Flannery takes the search for climate leadership and vision to the corridors of power and the frontlines of climate change.

Each interview offers lessons and personal stories. Tim talks to a West Papuan villager, a former Chair of COP15 in Copenhagen, an industrialist-turned-hydrogen-champion, a former prime minister of Australia, the CEO of an Aboriginal land council, an international human rights activist, a Chief of the Kwaio tribe in the Solomon Islands, an Australian state government energy minister, a barefoot engineer and climate change advisor to Joe Biden, a Torres Strait activist on the frontline of sea level rise, and a Scottish geographer.

This screening is presented by NFSA as the venue partner for the Better Futures Forum. The film is part of Documentary Australia’s Environmental Accelerator program, with support from Intrepid Travel and with the Climate Council as a key impact partner.

Route 53 runs between National Museum Lennox Crossing and Dickson Shops Cowper Street on average every 30 minutes from 7.00am to 10.10pm weekdays. Bus alights at Liversidge St behind the NFSA.

There is dedicated visitor parking on the premises between McCoy Circuit and Ellery Cresent (paid parking, up to three hours). There is also limited free parking surrounding the building on Liversidge Street.
We recommend using public transport in peak times.

Wheelchair/accessible access via Liversidge Street.
