Accompanied by the joyous sounds of country gospel, with Broome-style Broadway dancing, this is a road musical that celebrates the adventure of finding your way back home.

In Broome, WA in 1969, Willie Johnson (Rocky McKenzie) is having trouble wooing his girl Rosie (Jessica Mauboy). His mother packs him off to boarding school in Perth to continue his education. One night, after getting into mischief with his friends, he runs away to escape punishment - and this is where his adventures begin.

On a road trip from Fremantle to Broome with two hippies (Missy Higgins and Tom Budge) and ‘Uncle’ Tadpole (Ernie Dingo), Willie experiences some wild occurrences. This joyful musical comedy is the story of a young man’s coming of age and his journey home.
