After witnessing a Mafia murder, musicians Joe (Tony Curtis) and Jerry (Jack Lemmon) go into hiding in an all-female jazz band, disguised as women. Joe attempts to win over singer Sugar Kane Kowalczyk (Marilyn Monroe), while Jerry attracts the romantic attention of millionaire Osgood Fielding III (Joe E Brown).

Some Like It Hot found an appreciative audience with its slapstick comedy, musical performances and star power. Today, it remains a touchstone for conversations around queer representation and depictions of gender roles.

Come along early to enjoy Hot Summer Nights in the NFSA courtyard, with live performances or DJ sets from 6pm-8pm. Our onsite cafe and bar will be open from 5.30pm with a range of beers, wines, weekly speciality cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks available.

VEGAN BOX (GF option):
a mixture of pickled antipasto vegetables, including giardiniera,
marinated eggplant, dolmades, cornichons, guindilla chilli, quince
paste, mixed marinated olives and sourdough. With 3 different Nosh
Vegan Cheeses.

Available in 3 sizes, small ($75), medium ($95) and large ($170).

A Small box is designed to be shared between 2 people, Medium between 4 people, and Large between 8 people.

Pre-ordered boards will be available for collection from 6pm-8pm during Hot Summer Nights music program.

ON THE NUMBER 53
Route 53 runs between National Museum Lennox Crossing and Dickson Shops Cowper Street on average every 30 minutes from 7.00am to 10.10pm weekdays. Bus alights at Liversidge St behind the NFSA.

There is dedicated visitor parking on the premises between McCoy Circuit and Ellery Cresent (paid parking, up to three hours). There is also limited free parking surrounding the building on Liversidge Street.

Wheelchair/accessible access via Liversidge Street.
