The best day of the year! Take some time out to celebrate your best friends this Galentines Day!

Three dissatisfied best friends – Alexandra (Cher), Jane (Susan Sarandon) and Sukie (Michelle Pfeiffer) – summon up their ideal man in the form of Daryl Van Horne (Jack Nicholson). After Daryl reveals to them their supernatural powers, they begin to worry about his ultimate intentions.

The Witches of Eastwick was George Miller’s first full-length Hollywood studio film after the Mad Max trilogyYou can view it now as an 80s female empowerment manifesto or a male gaze-y supernatural story that keeps women in their traditional place. Sometimes it manages to be both in the same scene! Either way, it remains enormously entertaining thanks to its winning star performances.

Witches is highlighted by the three masterful performances of Cher, Sarandon and Pfeiffer’ – The Hollywood Reporter
