NFSA Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before purchasing a ticket. By purchasing a ticket from NFSA Tickets, You, the customer, (“You”, “Your”) agree to be bound by these terms as a condition of using NFSA Tickets.

1. General

The NFSA may change these terms and conditions at any time.

2. Orders

When making an order You must follow all the instructions and provide all information required by the NFSA Tickets online order form (Order Form).

All prices, taxes, contact and order details (such as the number of tickets), and any other details included on the Order Form apply to Your purchase must be completed in full.

The NFSA will not be responsible for any errors in the Order Form. Following an order being submitted and processed via NFSA Tickets, an email will be sent to the e-mail address nominated by You in the Order Form confirming the details of your order and receipt of payment.  

3. Events

The ticket You generate with your order via NFSA Tickets is proof of purchase for your event and must be presented at the time of admission. This ticket is not transferable and only one admission is valid per ticket purchased unless stated otherwise. Tickets are not to be duplicated for the purpose of falsifying entry. Proof of age or concession card may be requested upon entry to the event and that the NFSA reserves the right to refuse entry. The NFSA may ask to check bags upon entry to Arc Cinema or Theatrette for safety reasons. 

4. Payment and GST

The sale of all tickets is subject to availability.

You warrant that You are buying the tickets for your own use and not for resale purposes.

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST if sold in Australia.

Payment of the correct price must be made in full at the time of ordering and before ticket and transaction confirmation is provided.

Prices are subject to change without notice, however, you will only pay the price that is advertised for the tickets at the time You place your order.

Tickets advertised with a discount are only available at a reduced price during the sale period.

5. Ticket delivery

All tickets ordered via NFSA Tickets are sent by e-mail to the e-mail address nominated at the time of purchase.

All tickets purchased at the NFSA Building in Acton ACT or any other physical outlet will be provided in physical form at the time of purchase.

Where online delivery has not occurred following purchase, please contact tickets@nfsa.gov.au with proof of your purchase.

6. Cancellation and refunds 

All ticket sales through NFSA Tickets are final. Ticket holders are not entitled to a refund for any reason except where an event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances or to the extent otherwise required by law. Where an event is cancelled a full refund will be issued to all ticket holders. Where a ticket is purchased from the NFSA Building in Acton ACT or any other physical outlet, a refund may be requested either in person or electronically by contacting tickets@nfsa.gov.au.

7. Filming and photography at events

Filming and photography are authorised at ticketed NFSA events except for the screening of audio-visual materials that are or may reasonably be protected by copyright law.

Where filming and photography is not authorised, your ticket will explicitly state this requirement and/or you will be advised at the time of the event.

Failure to observe any requirements, directions or instructions of the NFSA and its staff to not film and/or photograph materials that form part of a ticketed NFSA event may result in your tickets being cancelled without refund.

8. Exclusion and limitation of liability 

The NFSA disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, injury or other risks, personal or otherwise, which is incurred as a direct or indirect consequence of any ticket purchased via NFSA Tickets or attendance at any NFSA ticketed event. To the extent permitted and required by law, the NFSA endeavours to ensure that all NFSA ticketed events are provided in a safe, secure, and welcoming environment and that all minimum Workplace Health and Safety and Covid-safe compliance requirements are strictly adhered to.

9. Security and access 

The NFSA uses a contracted service provider (Eway) to process all online credit card payments via NFSA Tickets. Due to the nature of the internet and the fact that your access to NFSA Tickets involves features outside of the NFSA’s control, the NFSA makes no guarantees that the site hosting NFSA Tickets will meet your requirements or that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. You agree to accept all risks associated with the use of an online payment gateway.

10. Personal Information 

The NFSA and the service provider operating the site for NFSA Tickets (Ferve Tickets Pty Ltd) collects your personal information in strict accordance with the NFSA’s Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law 

These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Australian Capital Territory.

You agree to comply with all Government COVID-19 directions, orders, and regulations relevant to attending live events, which may be in place at the time of the event.

'Ferve Tickets' (Ferve Tickets Pty Ltd ABN 41 074 903 085) operates a system for event ticketing on behalf of National Film and Sound Archive ABN 41 251 017 588 the 'Event Organiser'. Any and all issues or claims relating to sale and/or purchase of tickets and the provision of associated event(s) are the sole responsibility of the Event Organiser and Ferve Tickets (or any subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, directors or employees) have no liability for any claims. Ferve Tickets is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the purchase of this ticket. Ferve Tickets cannot exchange or refund this ticket nor associated fees, please contact the Event Organiser with any queries. Ferve Tickets has no obligation to provide a refund or any other financial compensation if an event is cancelled, postponed or substantially altered by the Event Organiser, in which case you should contact the Event Organiser directly. Purchasing tickets constitutes your acceptance of this agreement.
