A Trans Day of Visibility special screening, presented in partnership with A Gender Agenda

When Owen’s classmate introduces him to the mysterious late-night TV show, The Pink Opaque, reality and the supernatural quickly collide. After Maddy (Jack Haven) and Owen (Justice Smith) bond over the show, their lives take different, but equally unnerving paths.

Drawing on her own experience, writer-director Jane Schoenbrun described I Saw the TV Glow as an allegory for the “egg-crack moment,” a moment of identity realisation commonly referenced by trans and gender diverse communities.

Route 53 runs between National Museum Lennox Crossing and Dickson Shops Cowper Street on average every 30 minutes from 7.00am to 10.10pm weekdays. Bus alights at Liversidge St behind the NFSA.

There is dedicated visitor parking on the premises between McCoy Circuit and Ellery Cresent (paid parking, up to three hours). There is also limited free parking surrounding the building on Liversidge Street.
We recommend using public transport in peak times.

Wheelchair/accessible access via Liversidge Street.
