ABOUT THE BLUES BROTHERS
1980 | DCP | USA| D: John Landis

Two sharp-suited musical geniuses (John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd) are chased through Chicago by cops, neo-Nazis and a vengeful country and western band.

Featuring blues legends James Brown, Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles, this audience favourite is bursting with awesome performances.

‘An exceptional comedy...Car wrecks and blues-related music galore in the best movie ever made in Chicago.’ – Chicago Tribune

ABOUT JAMES SOUTHWELL
For nearly 20 years, James Southwell has been captivating audiences across Australia and New Zealand with his high-octane solo acoustic performances. Stripping things back to the essentials – voice, guitar, and stomp – James manages to fill any room with the energy and intensity of a full band. His gritty vocals, masterful guitar playing, and deep groove create an unmistakable sound that blurs the lines between blues, rock, and roots.

Whether lighting up a packed pub, commanding a festival stage, or delivering an intimate, emotionally charged set, James brings the same fire and authenticity to every show. He doesn’t just play songs – he tells stories, draws you in, and leaves it all on the stage.

Since releasing his debut album Dark Angel in 2006, James has built a reputation as one of Australia’s hardest-working and most exciting live performers. His solo acoustic sets are proof that sometimes less is more – raw, real, and unforgettable.
