ABOUT TWO HANDS
1999 | DCP | AUS | D: Gregor Jordan
Nineteen-year-old wannabe crim Jimmy (Heath Ledger) agrees to deliver $10,000 for brutal kingpin Pando (Bryan Brown), but he loses the money when he stashes it in the sand at Bondi to go for a swim.
Two Hands launched the careers of Heath Ledger and Rose Byrne, who plays Jimmy’s girlfriend, and director Gregor Jordan, who went on to work in Hollywood.
‘Although this quirky crime-doesn’t-pay morality fable is full of well-worn genre tropes, Jordan avoids delivering the same-old same-old by innovating around the edges.’ – The Guardian
