The Australian Institute of Architects’ ACT Chapter has proudly partnered with the National Film and Sound Archive to present the 2025 Contemporary Australian Architects Speaker Series. Now in its 37th year, this annual lecture series discusses innovative ideas around design, art, and architecture.
Week 3: Tina Tziallas (Tziallas Architects)
Tina Tziallas champions architecture that marries sustainability with heritage, crafting homes designed to endure both in ecological performance and cultural longevity. Since launching her Southern Highlands practice in 2013, she has pursued a design ethos centred on high performance buildings, adaptive reuse, and energy efficiency, weaving together modern sensibilities and environmental responsibility. With a background in diverse project types, her work values longevity over novelty—placing emphasis on thermal efficiency, material integrity, and design that feels rooted in context and respectful to the past. At the core of her practice is a thoughtful, client involved process that ensures architecture is both beautiful and built to last.
Join us from 5pm in our beautiful heritage courtyard to connect with fellow attendees or simply unwind. Enjoy drinks and nibbles available for purchase from our on-site deli and bar, Dom's, open until 8pm.
